Northern Escape Heliski tells us heli-skiing in January may be the heliski industry’s best-kept secret. It is often overlooked, as February has always been the most popular month for heliskiing. HELISKI.com is asking the heliskiing operators and owners what they like about January, and how it differs from the other months for heliskiing. Next up, Northern Escape Heliskiing.
At Northern Escape Heliski, one of my favorite times to Heliski is in January. It’s DEEP at that time and generally much deeper than Feb and March. That’s not to say that Feb and March aren’t DEEP, but January is just that much DEEPER. January tends to be very stormy for most of BC and that certainly holds true for our location here in the remote NW corner of BC.
Northern Escape Heliski says, “Its’ Deeper Up Here”……Especially in January!
You can expect to ski and ride in the trees where the powder is even DEEPER and sheltered during these storms and if it’s really dumping, our catskiing backup will ensure you’re enjoying that powder at it’s very DEEPEST!
