“The Bugaboos” aka CMH Bugaboos Lodge is the birthplace of heli skiing!  Canadian Mountain Holidays began with the Bugaboos Canada Heli Skiing operations back in 1965, and it remains their most established area.  And the CMH Bugaboos heli-skiing lodge is the only heliskiing base in the Bugaboos Canada.  The Bugaboos Canada heliski area is known for granite spires and variety of terrain, both above and below tree line.

CMH Bugaboos (The Bugaboos) Location

The Bugaboos Canada are in the Purcell Mountains south of Golden, BC.   CMH Bugaboos guests bus from Calgary (3.5-4 hours) to the Bugaboos Lodge helipad for a short flight to the newly renovated lodge.  The Bugaboos skiing commute is relatively short access time, for Canadian Mountain Holidays, which makes CMH Bugaboos a good choice for shorter heli skiing trips.

CMH Bugaboos Standard Packages Offered

CMH Bugaboos offers 4, 5 and 7 day. Powder Intros for 1st-time heli skiers that aren’t strong skiers. Also offering powder masters for those folks that are senior in age but still want to get out heli skiing the Bugaboos.

CMH Bugaboos Lodge and Dining Description

A classic CMH Bugaboos Lodge, including hot tub on the roof with the most incredible views. The Bugaboos lodge elevation is almost a mile high. The Bugaboos Lodge includes thirty-five rooms, bar, sauna, steam, and games room. There is also a tribute to the turn of the century gold hoax that made the Bugaboos Canada famous, including maps, pictures and other cool stuff. Fantastic iconic mountains which are visible from the lodge. Great access to both glaciers and trees. Caters to all levels of skiers. Use a 212 with 4 groups of 11 skiers.   • Comments: I did this yesterday and told you it was the worst. Totally incompetent head guide etc. We like the Ruby Heli skiing and will be returning there. It is the best, great terrain, qualified and professional guides.

  • Comments: I'm a repeat customer of Silvertip heli. I've been to 8 different BC heli/cat lodges. I consider silvertip to be one of the best operations in BC. They have the terrain, 60ft of snow , and its north so its tends to be colder to preserve snow. No heli operator is perfect, but i feel silvertip has more odds stacked in their favor to make your trip amazing.
