Only four guests per group and a maximum of three groups sharing an A-Star helicopter. Skiing or boarding in small groups at Mica is by far the best way to experience heliskiing - no waiting, more vertical and a program custom tailored to your group's desires. With the helicopter parked just meters from the lodge, there's no time wasted driving to the helicopter; you'll be skiing within minutes. At your disposal is a quarter million acres of epic terrain beyond your wildest dreams! Forget down days, over the last 7 years we have averaged only 1.5 ‘no fly' days per season! We have Mother Nature to thank for this phenomenon. Mica's unique location, situated between the moisture laden Monashee Mountains and the cooler air of the Rockies, produces weather patterns that provide consistent, deep, dry powder from December through April. On the days we're not able to fly, we clear off the Piston Bully and go Catskiing. Bottom line - you're skiing every day!

Terrain Description	Our terrain is definitely a major factor in what makes Mica Heliskiing so special! Mother Nature has blessed us with natural steep fall-line tree runs, countless pillow lines, dramatic alpine ridges and bowls and endless glacier runs. With eight distinct main valleys and runs between 600 and 1800 vertical meters (1900 – 5900 feet), there’s something for everyone! Mica Heliskiing's tenure encompasses approximately 72,000 hectares (close to 178,000 acres) on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, Canada. This spectacular area lies precisely where the moisture laden air from the Pacific Ocean collides with the cooler, dryer arctic air mass of the Canadian Rockies ice fields. The result is consistently deep, dry powder from early December through the end of April, with between 13 – 20 meters (42 – 66 feet) of annual snowfall!

Lodging and Dining Description	Mica Heliskiing's remote backcountry lodge and chalet are situated on a broad and open slope 1140 metres above Kinbasket Lake. Accessible only by helicopter Mica Lodge and Chalet offer a spectacular view of the surrounding Monashee, Selkirk and Rocky mountain ranges. Erected in 2002, Mica Lodge sleeps up to 12 guests (double occupancy) in seven bedrooms each with full baths and extra long twin pillow top beds. It also houses our dining area and bar, ski shop, retail shop and common living area. Completed in 2006, Mica Chalet has four extra large deluxe rooms each with a King bed, fireplace, leather lounge chairs and full ensuite bathroom.
